Faith
Normally, I wouldn't
share this much, but this is one of those moments that I believe I am commended
to.
Please allow me to
share an amazing experience, was shared with the First Baptist Wylie Church
family today - Thank you Pastor kris segrest @krissegrest
Within the picture,
there is another picture of Yousef Shokury (middle man I believe) a Christian
Egyptian guy, who was one of the 21 Christians that were killed by the Libya
shores, back in February of last year.
He and others gave up their
life’s bravely (I bet gladly too) to the LORD. Mr. Shokury "Saint"
and others have blessed us. They let us witness, what faith is about. How some
of the elders in the older churches have done the same. How the Christianity
faith is alive in his people. How much encouragements they have given us. How they
glorified the Lord in their actions. How humbling, and blessing to be alive to
see such glorification of the Lord. Today everyone at FBC Wylie, 1/2 way around
the world got to appreciate him/them, talk about them, pray for them and their
families, how to learn from sacrifices.
To any of my friends in Egypt, if you know his family or any of the other families, please tell them.... We appreciate their actions.
Tell their mother’s; I
can only imagine how painful and joyful you must feeling. Your sons
"Saints" have given hope to another brother, he/they never met.
He/They has/have inspired a pastor and a church in Wylie, Texas to use them as
an example. Our church was praying for them today. He/they has/have verified,
what we have listened, read, learned, and still learning throughout the bible.
He/they has/have given us hope. He/They has/have given me a life lesson to
think about and be thankful for. I know I might never get to see you in person,
so I want to thank you and the other mother’s for getting birth to him/them.
To their father's, I
wish I could, or would have the opportunity to shake your hand. Meet you in
person and listened to some of their stories from you. Learn about how you have
managed to raise such heroic sons/men that glorified the Lord. How did you do
that? I am, and I know many more fathers are thankful for your examples and to
live up to. We might never experience what you have experienced. Your
leadership, man characters, perseverance, and fatherly love to your sons, will
inspire me/us to try every day to do better with my own kids. I am sorry for
your loss, and thankful for your son example. I am humbled but your sacrifices.
Finally, I am thankful
to my Egyptian president for building a church for them, and going after these
people that did that. You have my vote Mr. President.
